By-Polls be held on authentic voters lists : SC
ISLAMABAD(PFP): During proceedings of the computerised voters lists case the Supreme Court ruled that by-elections could not be held on the old lists as the Election Commission had itself admitted that 30 million votes were bogus.
The apex court ruled that by-elections should be held on authentic voters’ lists and the Election Commission should ensure free and transparent polls.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till February 6.
