LAHORE: Gas crisis has deepened across the country as ban has been put in place on issuance of new connections to new settlements, industrial and commercial consumers, Geo News reported Friday.

According to Sui Northern Gas Company Llimited (SNGPL) sources, gas crisis has worsened across the city as the shortfall has climbed to 500 Cubic Ft. In winter the shortfall is expected to hit 1000 Cubic Ft.

As a result of the ban on new gas connections 5500 applications are lying pending besides 50000 industrial and commercial applications.
