Sweden has sent three water filtration plants in the affected areas

Stockholm: Pakistan´s Ambassador to Sweden Nadeem Riaz said that more than two million people need help after the t the recent floods. He was addressing at Iftar dinner hosted by him in the honor of Sweden Pakistan Friendship society. Although the international community is helping Pakistan in order to provide relief goods to flood victims but still there is need to do more, he added. He said Swedish Govt. organizations, Pakistani associations in Sweden and Swedish people are doing a lot. Sweden has sent three water filtration plants in the affected areas. The President of Sweden Pakistan Friendship association Dr. Sikandar said this is the big disaster and Pakistan needs immediate help from International community. He was in hot water when members of the society put questions regarding the performance of the Association. It was proposed by the members to hold new elections.
Prof. Ishrat Lindbald as election commissioner held the elections. The newly elected office bearers were Pattern in Chief Sigrid Kahle, President Prof. Niclas Adler Dean of Jonköping University, Secretary Dr. Sohail Ajmal, Press Secretary Natalie Sial, Finance Secretary Zeshan Main and Prof Saleem Badar Bo Lindbald, Anika and Nasir Baig were also elected. The Ambassador Nadeem Raiz congratulated the newly elected office bearers and hoped that they will run the association effectively. Ex Pakistani ambassador Dr. Sattar Baber, Dr. Gunnar Lemhagen, Shahid Malik and many other also took part in discussions. Dr. Gunner Lemhgen as former office bearer assured his full support to the newly elected body.
