Government will not rest till rehabilitation of all flood affectees: Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari has held out an assurance to the flood affectees that the government will not rest till their rehabilitation, adding all the resources are being utilized to help flood stricken people and the entire international community stands with Pakistan at this crucial time. This he said while talking to the affectees at a relief camp at Railo Mian village of district Jamshoro. President Zardari has urged the provincial government and relief organizations to accelerate the pace of relief and rescue operations in the flood-stricken areas in the province as the federal government has no shortage of funds for the affectees. The President assured them that the government is engaged in finalizing the strategy for their rehabilitation, and all available resources would be exploited in this regard. “You are not alone at this testing time. The government stands fully alongside you, and will not leave you alone”, President Zardari assured the affectees. He directed the local administration to speed up relief activities, and the federal government would provide all resources in this regard.
“There is no shortage of funds, therefore we have to ensure the rehabilitation of the affected areas at the earliest”, he maintained. Earlier, President Asif Zardari was given a briefing during his visit to Kotri Barrage. The President also took aerial view of Thatta city and Sujawal and watched the devastations caused by the floods.
