Pakistan record dramatic Test win over Australia
LEEDS: Pakistan scored a dramatic three-wicket win over Australia at Headingley on Saturday, ending a 15-year wait to record a Test win against the world champions.
In a match that swayed side-to-side over the course of a little over three days, Pakistan finally came out on top to level the two-match series.
Pakistan started the day needing 40 runs to win with seven wickets in hand but saw two wickets go down in the first half hour against an aggressive fast-bowling spell from Australia.
Azhar Ali, resuming the day on 47 runs, struck a fine cover drive to reach his maiden Test half-century but only to get dismissed on the next ball.
