Pakistan-Afghanistan Transit Trade Agreement has been challenged in Lahore High Court.
According to media reports, the petition was filed by LHC’s Advocate, Shafqat Mehmood Chohan in which it was claimed that the agreement was the violation of the Article 2-A of the constitution.
The petitioner said that the agreement does not allow Pakistan to monitor goods passing through its soil, adding transfer of illegal goods can create more problems as the country already facing terrorism.
He termed the agreement as unconstitutional as it was not discussed on the floor of the National Assembly.
